I have not been on the bump in forever and I just realized today how much i missed it! I've missed seeing what other moms who have babies the same age as mine are going through and its nice to know that some of you guys are going through what I am!
My LO Bella is a monster lately! The first problem is she is teething like crazy. I'm not big on giving medicine for pain to babies but I caved yesterday and she took a 4 hour nap she was so tired! But the main reason why she is a monster is because she will not sleep unless I am holding her. She wont sleep if her father is holding her or any one else, only me. She will be 4 months on the 29th of this month and I have been trying to gently sleep train her so that she can sleep on her own but I have made no progress this past week. Yesterday she literally cried for and hour and 15 mins (I would go in and soothe her every so often) but it wasn't just crying she screamed! And as soon as I picked her up she fell asleep, but I was too tired and felt to bad for her to put her back down and try again. Does anyone have any pointers on getting the LO to sleep in her own space (bassinet, crib, ect.)?? I would greatly appreciate it!!! Also if you have an pointers on helping with teething babies! Hoping you all are having a great day!
Re: Missing the bump.. Help! My baby is turning into a Monster!
I know its tough . Unfortnuately, if your LO is teething, she probabley will only be held by you because you are the only one that can soothe her while she's in pain, mama. I would say if you want to start sleep training her than give her the pain meds; I know it's hard on you, but imagine if YOU were in pain and someone took away the only thing that gave you comfort, and than just left you by yourself, and you were unable to find another way to comfort yourself. That's basically what you're baby is going through! So give her some pain relief before you do the sleep training. Or wait until the teething is complete before you try!
When you do do it I'd say the main thing is to make sure she's awake when she's put down so she falls asleep in there. It might be different when she isn't in pain from teething, but you might have to do a little sleep training with crying, but eventually she'll learn.
