My daughter will be 1 in about 2 weeks. She has a few teeth and enjoys gumming a lot of different finger foods. However, when I try to get protein finger foods into her, she refuses to eat any of it! I have given her chicken, homemade meatballs, homemade chicken fingers and she rejects all of it! She will only eat pancakes, fresh mozzarella (and any other cheese), cherrios, potato and sweet potato bites, bananas, yogurt, watermelon and avocado. Any suggestions as to what I can do to get protein into her? I'm worried that when she goes to only milk, she will be lacking protein that she is getting from her formula.
We've given refried. He also likes pinto. Crock pot. When they're soft just mash em up. We prepare for him just like we would for ourselves unless its very spicy.
We let LO try everything we eat. We haven't found anything she doesn't like yet. But we have given salmon, tilapa, some other flaky fish (I can't remember what it was), we also do lunch meat, burger, brat, egg yolks (we haven't done full eggs yet).
You can continue to give her cereal like oatmeal - I make it stiff so LO can finger feed it herself.
