Let me paint you a word picture. Yesterday? It SUCKED. DH and I got into maybe our third BIG fight ever, much of which was helped along by these lovely freaking pregnancy hormones that have kicked into overdrive in the last week or so. So that was how I spent a good chunk of my day. Once we got all of our stuff sorted out, I plopped down on the couch to hopefully, finally, relax a little. Instead, I hear "drip.....drip....drip...." I started looking around, and suddenly had a drop of water hit me in the middle of my head. I looked up and there was a 4 inch long crack in our living room ceiling with water dripping out of it. I called the emergency maintenance number (Thank goodness for renting!) and the guy was out within 20 minutes. He poked a hole in the ceiling and water came gushing out. So, he took a screw driver and ran it along the crack. And this happened:
Apparently our upstairs toilet has been leaking water every time we flush, but the wax seal was holding it back, so it's been leaking into the floorboards. There was drywall, dirty water, and rotten wood all over my wall and freshly shampooed carpet. He got the toilet fixed, but has to wait a few days to let the wood dry out to see what all he needs to repair floorboard wise before he can patch the ceiling.
What. The. F^*k.

WTF Phone bill. I know we caught it late that DH was using his normal number verses Skype to call family in Africa but is it really necessary to charge ten times more per min then Skype? Really didn't need two months of almost three times as high phone bills because by the time we caught it we had hit a second billing cycle. Really NOT what we need right now.

Oh no!! We had the SAME thing happen right after we bought our house, but it was a roof leak from snow build up. What a pain! I wouldn't wish that on anyone! Thank goodness it's a rental and someone else has to deal with the work but poor you for having to deal with the mess....and hole in the ceiling!
My WTF (long): WTF snobby b!tches on Facebook! So last night there was a shooting in our area (no it's not a bad area but gets a bad wrap because it's an older neighborhood settled right smack in the middle of neighborhoods that are newer with homes that cost more than double what ours do, not to mention we do occasionally get kids, 16-25 ish, that think they're some serious thugs wandering but most are harmless, just the nature of cramming WAY too many people into too small a land area). Anyway, DH and I hear the helicopter circling and wonder what's up, so I hop on Facebook to check the county news/update page. Instead of legit information or concern for the families of those who were injured (all are OK BTW), people from the 'nicer' neighborhoods are actually taking the time to write things about how 'scary' our neighborhood is and how sad that this subdivision is right across from their 'nice' neighborhood...I'm sorry but there have been JUST as many issues in their NICE neighborhood as in ours simply because those who cause the trouble don't live here and are just as capable of crossing a street into your NICE neighborhood as they are to stay in ours! UGH! Sadly we all can't afford to throw down 500k+ for a house but would still like to live/raise families in this area.
WTF body. Last night I had contractions for two hours, strong enough that I thought I would be headed to the hospital and then NOTHING. Way to fake me out.
No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you are the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside.
Wtf sleep! First I couldn't get to sleep. Then I couldn't stay asleep. Every time I woke up I felt crampy for a few seconds. And now I get up for work with a headache and a backache. Plus a call to my mw, crampy feeling has me a little nervous (FTM and cramping is new).
Wtf body. First it was too hot to sleep. Then my hips hurt and I couldn't get comfortable. Then my lower back would crack every time I turned. Then I had to pee every time I turned. Then I had to waddle painfully to go to pee because lo feels so low it hurts. And then the cycle repeated itself.
Looking forward to my nap on the couch after my ob appt this morning.

WTF, I do not want to be at work. I should be home sleeping, rocking in my new glider, and watching Netflix shows.
WTF, why do I have to be so d@mn broke!? Every source of credit is maxed out and DH and I have to scrape up change just to buy groceries. I feel so poor.
WTF life. In an attempt to get the nursery done (ha ha ha), I ask my husband to hang some bookshelves in there. The hammering causes a giant speaker (on the opposite side of the wall) to fall off its shelf, crashing into and destroying our brand-new flat screen TV.
It's JUST what I wanted for the last few weeks of this pregnancy. Fighting, crying, guilt, and spending more money that we don't have. Hooray.
I am still WTFing my contractions. They hurt and they aren't doing anything. If you're not going to make the gain, why make the pain, body?? Add me to the list of bumpies who can't sleep. I've been up since 2:30am. It's now 5:30am here and I am WIDE AWAKE.
Today I am supposed to be resting, but I don't think it's going to happen.
The maintenance guy kind of chuckled and was like "Eh, we'll get it figured out" So I reminded him it wasn't funny and that I was 36 wks pregnant. And then DH took me out for ice cream. And when we came back he was still working and was much nicer and said he would make sure the carpet gets re-cleaned for me.

WTF bladder. Apparently I have lost all sort of control over it because the last 2 days I have peed on myself while laying in bed and I had think about whether or not it was my bladder or the baby and amniotic fluid. It is quite irritating.
So sorry @Jill9288..what a crappy thing to have to deal with right now!
mine is wtf body! Yesterday and last night I had diarrhea (sorry tmi) and was dizzy and really tired..been having stronger and more uncomfortable contractions for awhile now..I look it up and 90% says the stools and dizziness can be signs of labor..not now! Not at 35 weeks! I'm hoping its just something I ate but haven't had an appetite lately..feeling better this morning and the contractions have calmed down a bit but this is going to be a LONG few weeks if that's how its going to be! And I don't have time for this with DD running around!
WTF dog. I am trying to clean our bedroom because apparently you shed your coat every single day. I don't understand how you even have any fur left on your body. But if you are scared of the vacuum, mop, broom and everything else I am trying to use, stop following me around and then freaking out every time I pick one of them up. Aaahhh.

Ugh, that sucks! At least they located the problem quickly.
Sidenote: I have that same wall fixture.

I have the same problem with my dogs, especially this time of year. It definitely doesnt take the problem away but we try to brush them every night (and by we, I mean DH lol) and we use this brand of brush. https://www.furminator.com/ . It is a little pricey but works so well so it is well worth it in my opinion.

We have a black futon and a dog that sheds a SH1T ton of white fur. It gets freaking EVERYWHERE.. piles of it on the floor, the futon, everything. I honestly don't know how he's not bald! I would not have adopted him if I had known how much hair he sheds.
WTF work? I've had 3 co-workers recently make comments about my maternity leave being a "vacation." My boss let us have a reduced staff one day, so 2 out of the 3 of us was allowed to go home early. They were like "Oh, she doesn't need to go home early. She's about to have 8 weeks off." I realize it's been 30+ years since you've had babies, but surely you can remember that maternity leave isn't going to be a walk in the park, filled with sleeping in and sunbathing. I would really love a half day every once in awhile too, so I can finish getting ready for LO to get here!
Also WTF sleep? Apparently 3:30 is my new wake up time. I tried so long to get back to sleep but everything hurt. I would absolutely love a full night's sleep!

It's been non stop since we adopted him in October! I thought shedding was a seasonal thing. I'm not sure if that's the exact brush we have but we do have some brush that is called furminator or something similar. We, and by we I also mean DB lol, don't brush him every night but we probably really should.

I'd slap someone. Some people do NOT understand how hard pregnancy can be, and it pisses me off.

yea, every night may have been an exageration on my part but at this point I just want to take a vacuum to them because they shed like crazy this time of year because it is hot out.

Have you ever considered shaving him? I had 2 short haired weiner dogs and then we decided to adopt a long haired orange and white dog. Ugh!! She literally molts clumps of hair all over and rubs up on the brown couch and you couldn't even put anything on the floor without it being covered in dog hair. So last summer I started shaving her. I work at a vet so i do it myself but you could take him to a groomer. I do a puppy cut on her where I leave her head and tail long and shave the rest with a size 10 blade. I think she enjoys it more and it has cut down on the shedding soooo much! I've only ever done it in the summer but I'm debating doing it year round because it keeps me sane.

Holy heck this is so my dogs. I can make two new dogs everyday from the
amount of hair they shed. And both are completely freaked by vacuum and
broom but won't leave the room I'm trying to clean.EDIT: DH says "they wouldn't be shorthaired dogs if they didn't shed so much" which seriously just makes me roll my eyes.

I can completely sympathize with you here! If you rent perhaps they can pay for you to stay in a nice hotel like they did for us! Only difference was our upstairs neighbor for whatever reason tried to wash clothes in the kitchen sink?!?! He was not all there anyhow glad he's gone! Hope things get better for you and hubbs!

I think my dogs would look crazy shaved lol. They are both about 50 pounds and each have lab/hound in them. I feel like little dogs can get away with it but a big dog may not look so good.

WTF life... I feel like you are throwing me more than I can handle right now stress wise. DH is still working 60 hour weeks (on salary) because they won't hire anyone to replace the one they fired, the basement still needs a lot of work, the nursery still needs work, I'm working a ton of hours and being pushed to my limits there, my mom had surgery because her appendix burst so who knows when she'll be coming to visit, my OB will be MIA for weeks, and LO's last ultrasound showed something on her kidney so I'm worried about her now.... I feel like I need to scream or curl up and cry but I don't have time for either.
