When is/was your first apt?

I just called the dr to schedule my first apt and it is when I am 8 weeks along - 4 weeks to wait! I feel that since I have had a miscarriage before perhaps I should be seen sooner, but maybe this is normal?

Today!!!  it definitely stinks to wait so long and all they did was a pap but luckily i get to go for an u/s tomorrow.

I had been in treatment with an RE, so my first u/s with the RE was at 5w5d. 

Then I was released to the OB.  My first appt was supposed to be scheduled for 8 weeks - but they were very booked up so the earliest I got in was 10 weeks even.

My doctor won't see me until 10 weeks which will be Jan 13. Very frustrating!

6w4d was initial appt (Dr was nice and gave me an ealry u/s)

My next appt was at 8w5d for my "real" ealry u/s w/ the tech for measurments and stuff.

mine is today, 6 weeks 6 days. the doc thinks i am 8 week, 2 days, though. it's normal not to have one until now. suck, but at least you are not alone in the wait.

i was lucky to have gotten in at 5weeks- the provider i go to apparently likes for women to come in immediately- they gave me scripts to get an u/s done and bloodwork- got the u/s done at 6weeks1day- i go back the second week of january for another check-in.

I will be almost 8 wks, Jan 15 for my nurse visit then they do an u/s shortly after that at the office to get your edd, then i'll have the 13wk nst one

We had our first appointment at 8 weeks as well - those 4 weeks seemed long, but they went pretty fast. Does your doc know about the previous miscarriage? If not let them know and maybe they will want to see you sooner. Good luck! Hopefully time will fly.

Sounds like my dr. does the average 8 weeks. It feels so far away!!!

Our first appt is Jan27, which will be 8w2d. We do our sono first, then meet with the OB.

The next 29 days of waiting will be so difficult!

I was under the care of an RE as well so my first appt. and u/s was at 5 weeks and a few days and then  7 weeks and a few days and then today.

I was 8 weeks. ?Its very normal to go to your 1st appt at that time. ?You can tell more of how the baby is doing and you should be able to see a heartbeat at that point.?

if I had to wait longer than 6 weeks before my first OB appt, I would find another doctor, even if I had to drive further. With my first, I got in at 5 weeks and had my first u/s at 6 weeks. With this one, its a different doctor in a different place, and I was able to get an appt for 5 wks, 3 days, and I'm going to ask for my first u/s around 6 weeks since thats when they can usually see and detect the heartbeat by vaginal u/s. Its peace of mind, seeing that the baby is growing in the right place, has a strong heartbeat, and is measuring on-time.  Then I would feel comfortable telling people, too.

I will be exactly 8 weeks at my first appointment! I also made my appointment at 4 weeks and was frustrated bc I felt like it was such a long time to wait but the weeks have really gone by so fast!
