Igloo cake?

I would love to have a cake that looks like an igloo for Kat's birthday party.  I looked at recipes and they seem really difficult.  My baking skills leave something to be desired, so I was hoping to get one at a bakery.  Does anyone know where I could get a fun cake like this?  I really don't think I can do it myself, the Martha Stewart recipe looks impossible!

  • williams-sonoma has an Igloo-shaped nordicware cake pan- that might be an option for you...

  • I was just reading an article about a new bakery on Five Mile in Anderson and it said they do mostly custom work.  I have no idea about their prices but you could check them out!  It's call "Inspiring Kind" I think, but it's in the same plaze as the DMV, Outback and all that.  Let me know if you check them out, because I'm interested in them for Ryleigh's birthday in March!

  • Will do!  I need to give them a call tonight!  Wish I could, but I am swamped at work.  Clearly the company doesn't understand the importance of Kat's cake Wink

  • I highly recommend Melissa from Take the Cake. When I was ordering our wedding cake, a dad came in to pick up a birthday cake for his son - it was underwear! Too funny and very cute. Her chocolate cake and white icing is so delicious.
