So when the NP called me with my u/s results she said everythings looks great: measuring well, good strong heartbeat, etc. However, she said that I have a small blood clot behind my placenta. I didn't give it much thought because she didn't seem to worried about it, but now it's got me thinking. I haven't even spotted so far (***keeps fingers crossed***).
Anyone else have this experience they want to share? What can I expect? I'd Google it, but I learned a long time ago google usually scares more than helps.
Re: Blood clot behind placenta
Same here! It usually results in brown spotting.
I also had the same thing told to me for my u/s. But I went in early because I was having brown spotting. My doctor didn't seem too concerned about it but when I asked if it was bad, he said that it could cause a problem, although unlikely.
I'm hopeful that mine is gone now. I had brown spotting for a week or so. Over the weekend I passed a brown clot. It scared the heck out of me but since then I haven't had any spotting (knocks on wood). So I'm hopeful that whatever is there is gone now. And it is a subchorionic bleed/hemorrage.
