anyone here not get AF on your own?

Hi,

I have been diagnosed with PCOS and I do not ovulate or get my period on my own. I got pregnant with fertility treatments but found out that I miscarried 2 weeks ago.  I am just wondering if there is anyone here that does not get their period on their own and if so, how long did the dr. tell you to wait after your loss before you could induce AF and start trying again?  I have a dr. appt soon but I am just wondering what to expect.  Thanks!

I am sorry for your loss.  I too have pcos and haven't been ovulating on my own.  After my m/c the dr told me to wait 60 days before they would force her on.  At 60 days they gave me prometrium to bring her on but it didn't work the first time so they did another round and then she came.  GL

I had to wait 12 weeks before they would give me something to bring on AF.  Then it didn't work, so I had to wait and get a second round.  I have insulin resistance, which is pretty much the same thing as PCOS.
