Hi everyone, this is my first post on here, however, I have introduced myself in the past. Lurked for quite some time, but officially pregnant and looking forward to posting more. I will re-introduce myself briefly. My name is Andrea, I live in NJ, married a little over a year, conceived beginning of December,?
In any event, I was a HUGE coffee drinker, I still have one cup in the morning (as I hear it's OK) but now, I am suffering with MAJOR migraines. I switched over to Tylenol (used to only take advil) but this is about my 7th migraine since drinking less coffee. Has this ever happened to anyone and will it go away? I don't want to live on Tylenol, but the migraines are unbearable.

Re: Caffeine Withdrawals...
i used to drink 3 or 4 soda's a day... i've since cut back to one caffeine free ginger ale a day (if that)....
i can tell you it does get better you just have to stick with it. drink juice or have a cup of decaf or water.
as for the tylenol, my doc says to use motrin if you have headaches...but just like the caffeine you'll have to ween yourself of that as well.
good luck!

I haven't tried that. I am going too. Something has to work. I go back to the DR. on the 5th so I will tell him. Thanks everyone!?
Just me, but I would try bumping up your caffeine a bit until your headaches subside so you can take less Tylenol. Then cut down some more.
Worse comes to, ask your doctor for something stronger for your headaches. I get migraines, and my doctor prescribed Vicodin for them, its safer than most headache medicine. It works!
Good luck!
Actually Excedrin Migraine has asprin in it, so you probably shouldn't take it. You can take ibuprofen and tylenol, or if it's really bad call your doctor for a prescription of something stronger (I have Tylenol 3 for migraines).
I would def. cut down slowly on caffeine, if you are going through withdrawl your baby is too. I cut back awhile ago, I went from drinking 6ish pops a day to only with meals, then only with dinner, and then I replaced the pop I drink with sprite so no cafffiene.
That being said, I've been told by my doctor that for migraines caffiene can help and I'm okay to drink 200-300 mgs of caffiene a day- equivilent 4-6 regular sodas a day.
