Going from 2 to 3 kids?

How much more chaos is it? Tell me your stories ... I am nostalgically dreaming about a 3rd that DH is likely not going to agree to...

Re: Going from 2 to 3 kids?

  • You know, I had no problems going from 1 to 2 (could've been the age difference).  Going from 2 to 3 has been hard.  I feel really outnumbered.  At least when it was two I had a hand for each to do something...now I have 3 boys and still only two hands.

I'm often pulled in 3 (or more) different directions at one time.

It's not impossible (of course) but it does take a bit of multitasking along with insanity (Wink) to make it through.  To give a sense of things...I have never really taken time for myself before, but since having Christopher I take whenever I can....I'm always trying to "steal" some me time.

  • going from 1 to 2 wasnt too hard...especially since they were 3.5 yrs apart.  But going from 2 to 3 was like a chaotic 3 ring circus because they were only 16 months apart.

Like MrsTerry said its all about multitasking and I think organization plays a key role....give yourself time to develop a new routine and learn to let the little things go.
