Do you know anyone with a made up name? I hadn't thought about it until I saw the post below.

What is the made up name of someone you know? A girl I know from my hometown: Janelle

Origin: Grandma's name - Janette, Mom's name - Michelle

I like some made up names. Janelle is not made up though I know a few. Thats my grandmother's name my cousin's and I went to school with one.

i taught a little girl named "Carrieonne" - pronounced "carry-on" (sounded like luggage).  It was for her mom "carrie" and someone else "shevonne"...

i prefer names that honor people without being totally made up.

I worked with a girl named KimSu.  As I recall, her parents allowed an older sister to name her.  Kim and Su were her best friends, so named her baby sister KimSu.

I dont think Janelle or Rilee are made up.  Rilee is just a bad spelling of Riley. 

I have a friend who is named after both of her parents.  Her dad was Kee and her mom is Marsha, her name is Kesha.  Not really made up but a tribute to both.

My brother's name is Eston, not entirely made up because I believe there are town(s) in Europe with that name but I don't think my stepmom knew that at the time.

Yeah, Janelle is not made up, I know a few as well and a couple others who have it as a middle name and they are all around my age (early-mid 20s). 

I don't know of any made-up names, but on the subject of combined names I went to HS with two sisters: Analee and LeeAnn - their parents? Lee and Ann.

I had a student last year named Jeston. His dad wanted Jesse; mom wanted Justin. I always thought it was strange.

My mom's name is Carol and my MIL is Sharon, so I've flirted with the idea of using Cheryl (Sharol?) or Karen (Caron?) as a middle name.  I don't think I'd actually do it, though.  And if I did, I probably wouldn't use the ass-spellings.

I know a couple named Ashley and Jason and they named their baby Jaley.  I thougth that was made up....but I have heard of a few more Jaley's after that!
