I see most of the pack n plays have a weight limit of 15 pounds for the bassinet. Does anyone have the twin bassinet version? Is it a max of 15 pounds total for the top or 15 pounds for each bassinet?
I was also looking at the arms reach cosleeper b/c it has a max of 30 pounds for the bassinet. We are registering and we cant' really figure out which one to buy. Any help or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Which Pack n Play do you have?
we are getting 2 of the arms reach minis - our bed will look like it has wings
we had a bedside cosleeper with DS and it was awesome (but it got recalled recently)... so we're getting 2 new ones.
We really didn't use the PNP bassinet much with DS - so i'm just keeping the one we have - Graco in G Galore.
we used the changing "table" on the bassinet a lot with the PNP - kept it downstairs.... just rarely used the bassinet part. DS slept in his bouncy when downstairs mostly - or in my arms
it is nice to have a changing table downstairs, that is for sure!
We had the Graco Devon PNP. We were able to use the bassinet until the girls were 2mo, then used the bottom part since. I don't think the weight limit is that strict. I will say that our PNP had so many bells and whistles we NEVER used - the sunshade, the vibrations and music feature, etc - never used any of it. I'd get a basic one with a changing table and you should be all set. I also couldn't imagine having a bigger PNP than the one we have - I think the twin one takes up a lot more space, so that's something to consider.
For what it's worth, my girls slept in their crib at night from the first week on, but we used the PNP for all of their naps. The Arm's Reach Cosleeper is the one baby thing we didn't get that I wish we had.....
Have fun registering. I know it can be overwhelming!
Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
We have the Graco Deco (the one w/the dots). We have two of them, we have one in our bedroom that the babies slept in until they were about 5 weeks old (they slept in it together in the bassinet part and it was fine). We also have one downstairs that we use for naps (before w/both now for just one) and for the changing table. It is so great to have a changing table downstairs I couldn't imagine having to go upstairs every time someone needed to be changed (although I would have thighs of steel).

Well, I haven't used it yet but we ended up getting the Arm's Reach for the same reason you mention. I had looked at the Twin pack n Play but I don't like that they keep the babies seperated; I figured that at least at first they would be happier if they can touch each other.
