My DS was born weighing 8lbs, 13 oz. but turned into a skinny baby once he passed the 6 month mark. The doc isn't super worried yet but isn't 24 lbs really like for toddler of this age?? Especially for a boy??

DD was 22.5 lbs at 18 months, and then LOST weight, down to about 21.5 when she got sick shortly after her appt. At 22.5 she was 50th percentile, so I don't think it's anything to worry about.
Has he stayed on his curve? Growth does tend to slow in the second year as the kids are more active.
It's more about their growth curve than it is a specific weight. If this is a big drop in percentile for your DS, then if the drop continues over several appts it might be a cause for concern.
DD was 21 lbs at her 18 mo appt., and doc isn't worried because she's always been very low in the percentiles.
dd was nearly 9.5lbs at birth, and she's 17 months now and maybe 25 lbs. but I think just a bit under.
She's average on height and bit below on weight, but doctor isn't owrried at all because she has consistently grown and stayed ont he same curve.
As long as he hasn't fallen off his growth curve, I wouldn't be worried.
DD was 21 pounds at 18 months and is in the ~10th percentile for weight. She's perectly healthy.
