Re: sippy cup???

  • she started using a sippy cup around 6 months with just a little water in it, and now she loves it. We use the nuby ones with the soft spout

  • We started round 5.5 months when we started solids.  I fill it up with water but she only drinks a tiny amount right now.  We're still in the stage of getting her used to it.

We have the avent and playtex beginner ones.  I can't tell if she likes one better than another.  DD doesn't seem to have a problem with the sippy so I  dont think the cup matters to her.

  • We probably started around 7 or 8 months.  We used the Nuby at first because it has a soft spout most similar to a nipple.  We will put either water or water with a splash of juice in it.  GL!

  • I started letting DD play with the sippy cup filled half full of water when she was around 5 months.  She started drinking from it around 6.  Usually I fill it up all the way since she is a pro at it.  But since your DD is unfamiliar try filling it up on half of 1/3 full.  Since DD drinks from Avent bottles I started with the Avent training cups.  She is just now starting to use the cheaper sippy cups I can find for 1.00.
