Random: How many loads of laundry do you do per week?

Do you make it to the bottom of the barrel?  I NEVER do.  I can't remember the last time......It seems I wash & fold 3-4 loads per week & there are still 6 left...ugh.

Re: Random: How many loads of laundry do you do per week?

  • I wash about 4-5 loads a week. I almost always hit the bottom of the basket, though there are sometimes an item (brand new red shirt) that are in there for a while waiting for mates so I can wash them. I have a pretty big washer and dryer, so my loads are rather large.

  • I really don't know. Maybe 6? More some weeks then others. I have a sorting bin thing, so when one bin gets full I throw it in the washer. I really don't mind laundry so it is usually what I try to get done first.

  • Towels every couple of days, and with 5 people, 3 of which get their clothes changed frequently, we do clothes laundry daily, just different colors. Plus I have diapers to wash every other day.
  • DH actually does all the laundry so I have no clue.

  • 4-6 depending on how messy/poopy/whatever, and depending on how many cloth diapers we used. ?
  • We're potty training Sam right now, so we do a lot of laundry. I would estimate I do about 9 loads per week. I also work out 3-5 days/week, so I have workout clothes that also need to get washed.
  • I do 13-14 loads of laundry per week. ?If you don't believe me, here's the breakdown:

A load of cloth diapers every day. ?A load of the kids' clothes, bibs, etc. every other day. ?A load of my clothes once a week. ?A load of towels once a week. ?A load of?sheets once a week.

  • I do 7-10 loads per week. My washing machine is a piece.of.shit!! So it takes more loads to get it all done. My DH goes through 2 outfits a day and my daughters are constantly getting dirty or playing dress up and changing 4 times. I wish we could afford a new washer and dryer right now, but we can't so I have to make due with what I have.
  • I have so wanted to post this before and forgot. I also wanted to add how big is the household, but most people have it in their siggy. We do 5-6 loads per week in the winter(ugh) and a load or 2 less in the summer for the 3 of us.
  • I have never had totally empty laundry baskets, but we do about 7-8 loads a week.  I do a lot of small loads so that I don't have to seperate DD's clothes from our clothes.  We have a front loader that uses very little water and energy.
  • i feel your pain! i swear i do like 5 loads a week and i still have 2 or 3 loads in the hamper. i never seem to get it all caught up. and then when i almost have it all caught up we go on vacation or something and i get behind when we get back again...it's a never ending cycle!
  • about 6 loads

I do one load of each: DD's clothes, my clothes, DH's work clothes, DH's regular clothes, towels, and normally 1 extra load.

  • I am lucky bc my mom does ito n fridays when she watches ds. but with that said that is usually 4 loads and then on sundays I do the towels and linens so another 2!

  • I probably do about 5-6 and never get to the bottom.  But, I don't wash my sheets and towels every week so I never will make it to the bottom.  I like to wash them all together, so I have to have enough there to wash.
  • we only wash once a week due to the expensive nature of the apartment laundry room.  we go visit my grandma or another couple who we slpit detergent with.  we do 3-5 loads per week depending on how dirty SO gets at work (he does concrete)
