School should NOT be in session to day *grumble, grumble*

I'm subbing today for jr/sr high vocal.  O.M.G.  The kids are sooooooooooooooooooooooo wild.  I'm not going to have a voice at the end of the day.

    I'm surprised schools are open today, ours are all off as of last Friday (Thursday really b/c Fri was a snow day).

    I remember my subbing days.  I nearly always came home with a headache and sore throat :(

    We started school this year a week later than planned (two weeks later than other area schools) due to construction.  We have to make up the time in coming to school early and having shorter breaks.

    There are schools still open?  All the schools here last day was supposed to be Friday, but since we got an ice storm, they all closed and got an extra day.  They don't go back till Jan 5th.

    That sucks:(

    I'm sure it was nice in the summer when you started later, but right now, I'd be wanting my 2 weeks for Christmas!  I counted down days till breaks when I was teaching (I loved my job, but I loved my breaks more:).

    ours were out on Friday...that is tough for the kids!
