I've heard a lot of you say that you make pancakes for you DC. If you're DC is under 1, how do you make the pancakes without eggs.
Also, does anyone have any other good table food ideas? So far, we have given DS (9 months old) pasta and tomato sauce, apples, grilled cheese sandwich, shredded cheese, bananas in crushed Cheerios, roast sweet potatoes and chicken.
Thanks!
Re: Pancakes
The amount of eggs that make it to the pancake are so minimal that its not a big deal, but you can also buy the pancake mix that is add milk or add water only.
Also, you can give an 8+ month old child yogurt as well as other fruits, like rasberries, pears, etc.
Toast is good as well as rice (just make sure its thoroughly cooked).
Ditto pp about the eggs. We bought the pancake mix that is just add water. I tried an eggless recipe and it was NASTY!!!
MJ has had pretty much everything. He eats pancakes, waffles, french toast, reg. toast, bagels w/ cream cheese, any kind of fruit. If its a hard fruit like apples or pears I steam it in a steamin bag. He had had grilled cheese, shredded cheese on a tortilla, pasta, sweet potatoes, turkey lunch meat, goldfish, any kind of veggie, ground turkey, etc. I really just give him most things we eat.
Breakfast and dinner are relatively easy to think of things to make for him. I am having difficulty figuring things out for lunch. HTH
