A) They're afraid of not having perfect, sixteen year old vaginas.
They're afraid of having to actually go through labor and push a human being out of them. (they apparently choose the awful c/s risks over those)
C)It's more convenient to schedule a C-section than to sit on the toilet drinking castor oil, rubbing your nipples, and attempting to get sex out of a man who'd rather hang himself with your umbilical chord.
These are only the women I've known who had them, if you have another reason than good for you. But these are STUPID reasons. Surgery is never a good choice.
Re: um...
D) Because you had an unplanned c/s with your first DC because your birth canal is too small, and have no choice but to get another one.
That should be added on their "list".
I'd like D) Because you're carrying twins and have already had a placental abruption, so it is completely unsafe to go through labor and risk a complete abruption and death to the babies and yourself.
That's why I had a scheduled c/s with my first twins. Call me crazy.
She was giving non-medical reasons for scheduled c-section. Non-medical...non-medical...non-medical.
I thought she was pretty clear but maybe me saying it 3 times will help.
I didn't think it was that clear. Her post several spaces down saying, "Of course, I would never make fun of someone with a medical reason" didn't sound all that sincere-- more like an afterthought, like "oh yeah, I guess SOME people might have a medical reason." She said, "If you have another reason, good for you." Sounded snotty to me.
Even without her saying it, its clear from her original post that she is going for non-medical reasons. Then after 4 posts, she clarifies and then again a few more down. I guess if you only read the original post and were looking to be defensive it could be missed but I thought it was pretty clear what she was talking about.
I explained my thought process to you. Sorry you don't find it acceptable.
