I need help/tips on how to get my DS to go to bed and stay in his new big boy bed. He has been sleeping on a twin mattress we have had on the floor for a week (we have had to lay w/him till he falls asleep) but he does great. DH and I decided it would be a good time to take the side off the crib and let him try his big boy bed. He is 23 months old and was loving the new bed during the day. Night came and he didn't want anything to do with it. He eventually fell asleep w/me laying next to him but I just don't want him to get dependant on me being in the room w/him. Please let me know your tips, ideas and thoughts on the transition. I do know he is ready because he wanted nothing to do with sleeping in his crib because "he is a big boy. Thanks Ladies for your help!!
Re: Transitioning from crib to big boy bed.....
We have a crib guard (Don't know the actual name) on the sied of his bed to stop him rolling out. He has never attempteed to get out of the bed which I am very surprised at! He calls us every morning to get him up! LOL
He gets in and out during the day though when he's playing.
Just see how you get on. He may not get out on his own.
