Anyone have a great, easy recipe? I don't want anything that I have to use a thermometer for. Call me lazy or call me a busy mom... either way, I need ease and speed!
Melt sugar, evap milk, marshmallows, butter and salt in a heavy 2 qt. saucepan. ?Heat to a full boil (one that cannot be stirred down) and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. ?Remove from heat. ?Stir in chocolate chips & vanilla (and nuts, if using). ?Spread in an 8" buttered pan, cut when cooled. ?Store in an airtight container.
You can also use whatever flavoring you like instead of the chocolate. ?My grandma sometimes adds Bailey's Irish Creme! ?Peanut butter is also a favorite (instead of, or in addition to) the chocolate. ?Don't skimp on the boiling time or it won't set properly.
Melt 3 c. choco chips, 1 stick butter, 1 can sweetened condensed milk in microwave!
you melt on 50% at 1 min intervals stirring until all is melted and mixde, poor in pan - done!
You can add nuts when it's done before you pour in pan and that works too. 8x8 pan.
I made a pan with nuts, a pan without, and I'm going to make a mint pan too tongiht maybe. Then I'm going to give everyone a 1 inch by 4 inch slice of each type.
