Pumpin pals?

for those of u that pump and use pumpin pals compared to the medela horns, has anyone noticed that the pumpin pals dont let u produce as much milk as the other horns do? my supply is so low already. altho the pumpin pals are so much more comfortable for my breasts/nipples, im not sure im willing to take the supply hit for them... ?

I started using them a few days ago and am not having supply issues.  Definitely like them better - they are my FOURTH set of flanges.

thanks lucy and amanda! i had a LC come over tonight and she brought them. she thinks the white blisters i have on my nipples is from how hard the medela horns suck out the milk even tho i have size 30 mm horns (xl). pumpinpals are def more comfortable - but a hit on the milk supply... is odd. do u guys use ur pumpinpals handsfree? can u only use them handsfree with the bustier bra? is this why people get them?

I don't have a hands free bra but I kind of fake it with a nursing tank - and usually have enough suction where I can "sort of" go hands free LOL!  I got them because I heard they were more comfortable and I was desperate.  Are you taking fenugreek?  And drinking a lot of water?  Oatmeal can help boost supply too as can a prescription drug called Reglan.  All worth trying to boost your supply.  I'm only pumping 5 times a day so also feeding formula - but if you want to build a bigger supply - try some of those methods if you aren't already.  Good luck!!

How do you guys get them to stay on? They were always falling off so i quit using them. Is there a trick i need to know???

I have the Medela Freestyle that comes with a hands free system. So, I basically just insert the pumpin pals into the Freestyle base and use the Freestyle hands free. 

I wonder why you would have a supply hit....?

I just got a set of medium and large and find that, if anything, they're helping my supply.  I don't know if it's psychological, but things have been a little better lately - of course that could be from the millions of supplements I'm taking.

yup im supplementing like crazy with fenugreek, water, mothers milk, lecithin, pumping 8-12 times a day, trying to rest, eating oatmeal - u name it. the pumpin pals are comfy but dont pump as much.

amanda, my hubby just got me the freestyle over the PISA. how do u like it?
