3rd Trimester

The use of my left leg....

has become impossible due to sharp shooting, searing pain everytime that I walk.

I am so hungry and I think I am literally going to have to crawl to the kitchen..

This go on with anyone else?  It's just things spreading out right and will get better in a couple days?

Re: The use of my left leg....

  • I've had that a few times but it's never really long lasting. I get it more at night and it sucks! It's usually gone by morning. How long has it been hurting?

  • It's been annoying for a couple days, but manageable.  When I got up today it's become unbearable.

  • I cleaned all day yesterday and had a shooting pain all the way down my right butt cheek to my knee.  It sucked.  I nearly fell getting off the couch once I sat down.  I'd have stayed on the couch but I had to pee, stupid peeing all the time!

  • Yes, it makes me want to cry when I think about getting up to pee here in a little bit.
  • Its happening to my right leg !! I can be mid-walk and all of a sudden I have this sharp shooting pain that stops me in my tracks.

I asked the dr. about it, he said she is most likely laying on a nerve.

    Oh the joys !

    I second that!

Yeah I've almost felt like I was going to "trip" from taking a step when I had that pain. It should not last too long I wouldn't think. hope your pain doesn't last too long!?

  • grrreat.  It's usually my right side.. so I thought it was a nice change of pace.. but this is more awful that than usual.. grrrr
  • My sister laid on my mom's sciatic nerve her entire 8th month of pregnancy, my mom loves telling the story of how she drug her leg everywhere because it was so bad the leg wouldn't move at all.

  • raises hand! I have severe sciatic w/ a limp and was taken out of work. I hobble around the house and get spasms too. I'm seeing  a chiropractor and a neorologist on Tuesday. It's the baby lying on the nerve. The joys!
  • :( I'm so sorry.  I literally feel all of your pain.. The other annoyance that goes along with this is when people make fun of you walking and say you have a massive waddle..

No I'm freaking limping... I'm in pain, and the next time you're hurt I'm going to call you a penguin too...

I pee like 4 or 5 times a night and I'm always super stiff when I get up like in my tailbone area that I feel like I can't walk. Sometimes I feel like asking my doctor for a catheter, LOL

I do think I would rather pee a lot than THAT! lol. My hips hurt so bad at night sometimes I just wake up because of that then get mad that I have to pee and wish I could have just slept through it!?

  • Is it Sciatic nerve pain? I have that, makes me walk really funny when I need to get around. Where is DH and why is he not serving you lunch?

Ooooh, hello hot stuff!!  He left to go to a 1 year old's birthday party... I felt terrible for not going, but thank God he didn't get upset at me for just staying here...

  • Awww cute. I am really hoping it is a 1 year old he knows or is related to, and not just some random kid.

LOLOL, yes, it's the child of one of his childhood friends.  I can't handle eleventy billion kids right now.. bless him.

  • Yes bless him indeed. I would pull my hair out right now being around too many kids.

  • I was getting sharp low back pain every time I took a step, especially on the right side. I saw a chiropractor for the 1st time on Thursday and it has already worked wonders. What I thought was back pain was actually a problem with my pelvis.

I can't wait to go back again and I'm mad I waited and just "dealt" with the pain until I was 35 weeks!!

  • I had that and my suggestion would be a massage.  I had one and it went away right after that.
