Poll: humidifier vs sound machine

I hate our humidifier so much. The filter get gross like every couple days and replacing it gets expensive. Really, I only use it for the noise it makes.

Do you use a humidifier or a sound machine? What brand is either one and where did you buy it?

We bought the Homedics Lullaby Spa Sound Machine, and it is AWESOME. We have been using it since he was 3 weeks old, and he sleeps so well with it on. I highly recommend it. We leave it on the "ocean" sound, and turn on the nighttime projector that's built into it as well.

we use both.  Her humidifier is super quiet.  we use it for its actual purpose and sound machine for the noise,

her humidifier doesnt have a filter.  I really like it (its the blue penguin one)

I have both.  I have a Vicks Warm Mist (germ free) humidifier and a Sleep Sheep sound machine.  I bought the Vicks at BRU and the Sleep Sheep at the Baby Center store.

We have a filterless humidifier, I would prefer a sound machine, but its really really dry here and without the humidifier at night DD wakes up with a dry throut and a scratchy voice

We also use the Homedics Lullaby Sound Spa.  But we have a filterless humidifier too (Crane) b/c it gets dry in the winter with the heat on.

We have the same sound machine as the pp's and love it!  DD sleeps to the rain sound every night.
