    it wouldnt be bolded if it's already been read.  They do look slightly different.

    Like they read an email addressed to you or they read one that you sent to them?

    I don't think yahoo does return receipt. You can tell if someone read something addressed to you in your mailbox, but they could mark it as unread if they didn't want  you to know.

    You can't tell if someone else read the email that you sent to them, the only email program I know that does that is aol

    I think sometimes people who use Outlook can request a "read receipt," (and the person who reads the email is told they are being asked for this) but I'm pretty sure Yahoo mail doesn't do that.
