Could it be because I had regular coffee this morning instead of decaf or half and half? I know it can sometimes make it to her through my milk, but I thought it would make her cranky or fussy, not a zombie. please, go to sleep already!!! The only good thing that can come from this is that she might sleep for a long time tonight. Let's all cross our fingers for that
Re: My newborn has been awake ALL day
I don't think the coffee would stay with her all day-- it peaks in your milk after 30 minutes or something like that.
?
Maybe she'll sleep all night ?
Wow, really?
In my experience, no napping means a long night but I hope she sleeps for you! I drink 2-3 regular cups of coffee throughout the day plus diet coke. How else am I supposed to function?! And my DD is a sleeper.
Although she is 3 months today, no more newborn
I once had a cup of Dunkin Donuts decaf coffee at 3pm. DS was up until 1am and I was up all night. So much for decaf, right? LOL
Anyway, my point is that yes, that could be the cause. Good luck tonight!
Decaf coffee still has some caffeine in it. Caffeine triggers my migraines and as a result I can't drink ANY coffee since there's no such thing as coffee that's completely caffeine-free. I miss coffee.

I'm jealous of your sleeper. Stella will sleep for a 4 hour period from about 10 - 2am, but that's it. After that, she eats every 2 hours. I think she stops eating before she's really full. She usually sleeps a lot during the day though. Today, not so much.
no more newborn, huh? Are you sad? I can't wait for S to be a little older. I'm not trying to rush it since this is our last baby, but I'm ready for her to hold her head up and I'm ready for her to show us her personailty and things like that.
