When did you take DC to a movie for the 1st time?

Noah wants to see Return of Desperaux (sp?).  I was thinking we'd take him next week on his bday.  He laughs hysterically at the preview and has done ok with watching a couple of movies at home.  Am I out of my mind?  I guess I really don't have any expectations if it doesn't work out.

I think it depends on the child.  I know DS wouldn't do well at a movie right now, but I know other kids would do fine.  Like you said, you have no expectations so if it doesn't work you can just leave and try another time.

About a month ago to see Madagascar II.  I took him during a week day when there weren't a lot of people in case he didn't know how to act.  But, he did exceptionally well and loved it!

Ian was 2.  I took him to Toy Story 2 so I had to look up when it came out to remember how old he was.   He did pretty well.  Of course he will talk during the movie, but if you go during the day it will be all kids, so no big deal.

Well, anything is possible I guess. Someone brought their 12 month old DD to the Dark Knight over the summer!

Anyway we took Stan to see Bolt about a month ago.... He sat through most of it we sat so there was a seat between us and he did really well!
