You can use aloe vera gel instead of the doppler gel.  It works the same..

Good thinking!  I use a thick body lotion instead of the gel most of the time.  It works almost as well and instead of mopping up all the gel when I'm done I just rub it in.  (I'm deluding myself into thinking it will help with stretch marks.)
