Progesterone test ordered - Question

I requested one due to 1) past miscarruage 2)need for supplements with first pg and 3) short luteal phase now TTCing #2 (9-10 days).

 I will take the test CD 21 or 7 days post Ov.  I am taking Vitex and B-6 startign this month.  Was planning on using progesterone cream after Ov this month.  Should I not use the cream for fear of altering bloos test results?  COuld it? But, what if it helps and I miss out this month?

I remember reading that if you take vaginal suppositories that it won't change the blood prog levels.  Please double check that.  Does your doctor want you to take it?  I would assume with a mc they would definitely want you to. I was adamant about taking it because my level was 11 on a medicated cycle and my luteal phase was 11 days.

I've been using progesterone cream, B6 and Vitex and it looks like it worked this cycle. Now that I'm pg I can only take the vitamins and use the cream until 12 weeks. When I went for my b/w in August I didn't use the cream in case it would alter the results. You shouldn't use it until after the test and then you still have time to start it until AF arrives, hopefully she'll stay away! GL!

When my RE put me on P4 supps, she still wanted a progesterone test. In her reasoning, it would indicate that the progesterone was working.

So I say go for it and see what your levels are.
