Mid Cycle Spotting: CD 14-18

  Hello. I am in the midst of TTC baby #1 - this would be our second attempt. An OPK this month ( along with EWCM) indicated that I would ovulate on the 13th. On the 14th, I started spotting - ranging from light pink to bright red on the toilet paper. It is now 12/18, and still spotting with no signs of stopping.  It should be noted that this has never happened to me before -  I have been off hormonal birth control for a year and have had perfect 28 to 30 day cycles, with no breakthrough bleeding. Also, I am moody, and my boobs are killing me. Just like PMS, I swear.  I have a feeling this may be due to anovulation: in November, all signs ( OPK and CM) showed that I ovulated on the 20th - so this month has been wacky all around. Has anyone who has experienced this gone on to have a BFP that very same month?  Wishful thinking, a little bit, seeing has this has all the makings of an anovulatory cycle, but a girl can hope, huh? I know I'm being a little impatient, and probably need to chill out a bit, but it's hard not to let TTC dominate your thoughts :)

    I have been charting CM only - I work a rotating night schedule, so BBT is out - I am never awake at the same time :)  I have been using the charts on ivillage, so I don't have one on this site. However,  I had EWCM on the 12th, and the OPK was positive on that day as well, indicating I O'd on 13th, maybe the 14th at the latest.  But I was under the impression that ovulation bleeding was brief - this has been going on for 4 days.

    Day 19 - finally stopped. Here's to hoping that I have enough lining left for implantation this month ( which I doubt). The silver lining is at least I can walk up and down the stairs without my boobs killing me ( that symptom went away when the spotting did). Hopefully this was a one time freak thing. I'm already chalking this month up to a loss, so I'll get 'em next cycle Big Smile
