I make these M&M cookie bars for all my neighbors for christmas and usually just put them in their mailbox. Last year I just did plates with the bars on them but I kindof wanted to do something in plastic or tin. Does anyone know of a place to get cheap (I need 20) tins or plastic containers?
Re: Need to something to give away cookies in?
Ha, I didn't even think about the dollar store. I wonder where one is close to me. And I've been doing the baked goods for people for the last 2 years esp for all my neighbors. We just have so many friends and I can't afford to buy them all gifts so baked goods are easy. Plus I've already had some neighbors ask if I was doing my bars this year so I guess they are liked.
I totally understand where you're coming from! Baked goods are always a hit to me...they're personal and from the heart...and so tasty!!
Wal-Mart, Target, Hobby Lobby all have cute little treat bags or boxes that are cheap! Can I have a bar, sounds yummy
Merry Christmas, Wendy!!
I got awesome plastic containers with Christmasy stuff on them for $1.49 at The Container Store. They are cute and really big. I'm planning on giving them to the mailman and some neighbors.
And, what is the recipe for these cookie bars?
Carrie - great idea about the container store. I have to go to perimeter for my OB appt in a little bit so I'll stop by that one.
Here's the recipe:
