My kid is addicted to Monster Trucks

A friend gave ds a toy monster truck when we had dd. He liked it enough, but wasn't crazy about it until dh introduced him to youtube and showed him monster trucks in real life.  Now he's become addicted to youtube and Grave Digger.  He knows more about monster trucks than any human should.  He wakes up in the morning and his first words are grave digger.  I pick him up from daycare and his first words are Hi mommy, monster mutt?  It was fun at first but now it's driving me nuts!!  he cries for it in the most pathetic voice when it's time for bed.  I can't wait for Xmas so he can become obsessed with a new toy and he can stop walking around the house singing Bad to the Bone (grave diggers theme song). I guess it could be worse.

Had to respond because I think our kids are twins!  My son will not stop asking for more Monster Trucks on youtube.  Drives me nuts.  And if he doesn't know where his toy Grave Digger is he will pitch a fit.  And everyone seems to be buying him Monster Truck stuff for Christmas so I don't think it will ever end!

my son Josh was addicted to Grave Digger too and he's 21 yrs old lol....I still have one of his Grave Digger trucks!

There is also a major monster truck addiction in this house! He has about 50 monster trucks, and a monster jam DVD. My husband also found out that on the Speed channel, they have monster truck shows.. which we DVR. So, now when the tv is on.. Connor thinks the monster trucks should be as well. I hear "cuck" about a gazillion times a day.. I keep hoping he will outgrow it.. but I seriously doubt it. I know more about monster trucks than I ever wanted to know..

ah, the speed channel.  DH was flipping channels and saw it was on and so he popped in a tape (yes, for the VCR) and taped it. Now when we are in the computer room, it's on the computers and on the tv. He doesn't understand why it can't be on the TV downstairs - no VCR. 

I'm so happy to see I'm not alone!!!! And I know the in laws are getting a ton of grave digger stuff for Xmas, but I'm hoping something else will catch his eye. wishful thinking??
