I'm in a friend's wedding on December 29th. She has a person available to apply makeup for the bridesmaids, but I can't stomach her fee. Can anyone give me some tips? On a daily basis, I wear concealer, a mineral powder foundation, mascara, and a little bit of lipstick. If I'm dressing up, I'll add blush.
It may not matter, but I'm wearing a burgundy dress. I have very dark brown hair, very fair skin with a million freckles, and blue/green eyes.
Re: Any makeup gurus on?
If I'm in a wedding (and not paying a pro), a few things I would do - wear a primer underneath the makeup to help it stay on longer, wear long last lipstick (I think cover girl makes some - I use MAC's), and usually wear a little darker makeup than I normally would.
If you're not comfortable wearing a lot of makeup though, I wouldn't wear a lot - I'd just wear what you normally do and focus on having it stay on longer.
If it is a night wedding I would probably add some eyeliner. A very thin line on your lid and then smudge it out with a q-tip.
DO NOT go under the eye.. especially if you don't wear a lot of make up to begin with.
I would also go with a nice lipstick in the deeper burgundy family. Apply it then blot a shitton off with a paper towel. This way it is more of a stain. You can apply a little sheen on top (vaseline) if you want a little kick.
Your lips are full so I would stay away from anything tooooooo dark... Just keep it simple.
