Am I the only one who showers at night after DS has gone to bed to avoid him having free reign of the house? I'm afraid he'll climb on my very high bed and fall (like he's done), or that he'll do something I never thought to prevent. I just find it easier to do it at night, plus it makes mornings a lot easier.
Re: s/o showering
I'm a night showerer too....always have been.
There are times that I may take one during the day too, but that's an exception.
I don't have the energy at night. And, when I do shower at night, I still shower in the morning and wash up, but don't wash my hair. It takes just as long for me to get ready.
I only shower when DH is home, or when I know DD is napping/sleeping.
I would get up at 5 am when I was working to take my shower
I can't shower at night for the same reason as cleokitty - funky bedhead.
My hair looks majorly icky after sleeping on it, so nighttime showering isn't an option - plus I just feel better/fresher after a shower, and it puts me in the right frame of mind to start my day.
So I shower before the kids get up/before DH leaves for work (so if they wake while I'm in, he can handle them). I definitely can't shower with DS #1 running around, he tears the house apart.
My 20 month old can't open the door (we have one of those child door knob thingies on the INSIDE) so I have a kid chair in there and she reads books while I shower. The funny thing is my 3 year old son wants to get HIS chair and books in too.... so they sit and read while I shower.
Ican't shower at night - curly hair goes insane if it doesn't completely air dry on its own.
