Early Labor?

I am in week 37, so only 3 weeks to go.  On Saturday afternoon and night while shopping, I was having contractions about every 15 minutes.  They never got any closer and when I returned home, they slowly disappeared.  About an hour ago I have started experiencing cramping-low and in the front.  The cramping is a tiny bit uncomfortable.  At first I thought it was because I was sitting a lot and maybe becuase I was hungry so I ate lunch and walked around.  There has also been some low tightening going on as well.  Can anyone shed some light?

   It sounds like maybe it is false labor. I had the same thing only six min apart with my son. It really hurt and I thought I was in labor. I went to the hospital and they said it was false labor. My son was born almost a week later after being induced.

I am almost 38 weeks and have had very similar experiences. The other night I had painful contractions that were 7 minutes apart for about 4 hours that just stopped.  I have had a couple painless/just tightening feeling contractions throughout the day and definitely feel pain/pressure low down a lot.  It doesn't matter if I am sitting, standing or laying down that pressure still happens.

 I know this isn't labor but I am praying it means he may come a little early - maybe within a week.  I was checked today and was about 2 cm dialated but the doctor said its too early to tell if that really means anything at this point. I started getting back cramping/pain tonight which is a first.

 I am interested too in others' experiences around this time. Good Luck!! Best wishes - maybe we'll be seeing our babies soon!!!
