We just got a Christmas card from DH's grandma and she passed away on Sunday from cancer. She didn't want services so it doesn't seem real, know what I mean?  She is being creamated and wants us to bury her ashes on a warm sunny day this spring. When we opened the card, I started crying. DH's uncle wrote a note saying that she wanted each of her grandchildren and their families to accept her gift of money because she couldn't go shopping for us. It just feels weird.

Neeser-I'm sorry for your loss too! 

It feels weird because we have this check with her name on it. I know she wants us to cash it, but we're uncomfortable.  We thought maybe we'd cash it and put it in the DC's savings accounts.
