I am having a very hard time saying goodbye to Joe. I have to take him at 3:00 to be put to sleep. I know it is time, but I can't help but feel terrible. My DH is no help because he just thinks because Joe is 13 years old, he has had a good life, and I should be fine with it.
I just want to curl up and cry all day :-(

((((((HUGS))))))
it's ok to cry! ?
I'm so sorry. putting an animal down is so hard! ?
I am so sorry=( I hate when people say stuff like "they've had a good life" in reference to death. It still is saying goodbye to someone you love. Take the time to grieve.
:::hugs:::
I can't even imagine! I want to cry for you!
(((HUGS)))
Oh, that's so sad. I'm so sorry!
I totally understand how you're feeling; i lost Abby and Penny @ 14 & 15 years of age and that doesn't make it easier. ?
Curl up and cry. ?It's okay to do that. ?I did it a lot. ?((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))?

Of course you want to curl up and cry all day. ?This post is bringing tears to my eyes and I don't even know him. ?
Does it give you any comfort knowing that you are doing a truly good and selfless thing for him? ?(((hugs))) You are both in my thoughts today. ?
*tears**
Oh sweetie - it's more than OK to feel sad about saying goodbye to JoeBunny. Honestly, I'd be more worried about you if this was simply "no big deal b/c he's lived a good life." Your selfless, compassionate decision to help him when he's suffering truly honors him and sends a clear message about how much you care about your companion - now, and always. Give yourself permission to grieve your loss, even if others place judgment on your need to do so - be gentle with yourself and allow the tears to come - honor JoeBunny in that way.
Thinking of you during this difficult time... (((hugs)))
