Has anyone tried this or the mustela newborn shampoo? do u apply cream before or after shampooing or both? or can you recommend any other cradle cap treatments?
i use the mustela newborn foam shampoo...i got it as a gift and it works great against the cradle cap. it is not specially labeled as a product to combat the cradle cap, but all the reviews on BRU say that it works like a charm on it. i have been using it for 3 months now and no cradle cap at all. and it does smell kinda nice too.

i put baby oil on DD's scalp, rubbed it in really well, put a cap on her and left it "soak in" for about 30 minutes. Letting the oil penetrate the dead skin with the body heat really seemed to help. Then combed through her hair (she had tons of it). The combing actually helped to lift the dead skin off the scalp. After the "de-scaling" process, we washed with normal baby shampoo and combed through again after rinsing.
We had to do this about 3 times before the cradle cap was completely gone.

and baby oil doesn't smell bad like some of the other shampoo remedies.
Re: Mustela stelakar cradle cap cream??
I didn't think it worked any better than the other stuff I use. And it's expensive!
My Dad is a dermatologist and he recommended 1% hydrocortisone. Talk to your ped about it though.
