I have been up since 3:00 this morning. I woke up initially around 2:00 but managed to kind of fall back asleep for an hour. At 3:00 I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep so I gave up and went downstairs. I am now miserable. I was so tired on my drive in to work and I am now working on downing about 32 oz. of caffeine (Mt. Dew). I only have 12 hours of time off left for the year but I am seriously thinking of leaving at lunch today so I can go home to a quiet house (the dogs will be at the groomer) and try and take a nap before I have to go get DS from the sitter. If this is any indication of the rest of the pregnancy, I officially give up and may take my doctor up on her offer to write me out of work early.
Re: Insomnia sucks in the worst way...
I hear ya. I was up from 1am to 4am and then again at 5:30 and have not fallen back to sleep. I have such a hard time sleeping. Thankfully today is my first day of maternity leave so I dont have to drive in the nasty snowy weather we got over night.
I hope you get some rest today.
My last couple weeks have been bad. I'm waking up a LOT at night, and I've had a few nights of insomnia.
I pushed, through, though, because any time I took BEFORE the baby would mean less time AFTER. I want as much time at home once he's here.

That is the only thing keeping me from going out on leave now. I get 13 weeks paid in full though so I am thinking leaving in a week to a week and a half isn't going to kill me. I only had 6 weeks off with DS so any time past that will seem like a blessing.
