    Lysine is a good prevenative, but I honestly don't think it helps on a full-blown sore.  TTO works, but  not as fast as Abreva.  I know it's not EF, but it works best, IMO.

    If I have a cold sore I use Lysine 1 tablet 3 times a day. It goes away pretty quickly for me. Walgreens also has Lysine in a tube that you can put directly on.?
