I am so overwhelmed & could cry!

I am so overwhelmed!!  We had our post-homestudy meeting with our caseworker this week which seemed to be somewhat of a waste of time except that it just so happened that someone had donated a brand new travel system and we got to be the lucky recepients!  But other than that they urged us to try and finish up our profile & grants asap b/c they want to be able to place us soon!  So we were hoping to finish the nursery this weekend and thanks to be being a complete moron the pain I got to touch op the walls (we rent so we can't completely repaint the nursery) was the right color but not the right sheen so it looks completely crappy so I'm hoping to be able to pick something up at lowe's to fix it.  DH is currently working on our book and I've got a stack of grant apps I'm getting ready to start.  It just seems that with the holidays coming up and all of this adoption stuff going on I am just completely over my head!  It doesn't help that my job changed somewhat this week (in a good direction) so that has added to it as well.  I am just going crazy!!

Is this a normal part of the process??

relax, breathe.  There were times I did cry because I was pushing so hard to get it all done. You are lucky H is doing the book...that alone almost killed me.

Just do things one at a time....you will be ready when you are ready.  The waiting will be much more painful if you overstress yourself right now and then realize you went nuts for no reason....you will still have to wait for your baby to come along.

I'm sorry things are feeling so crazy right now. I totally agree with pp - thank your dh for doing that profile and then just take everything one step at a time.
