its the point at which your baby, if born today, has a pretty good chance of survival. I have read different weeks though. some say 24 weeks and others say 25 weeks.

You guys are right that they mean "viability day" but you're incorrect that most babies would survive at this point. Most 24 week preemies do not survive. Most research shows that 30 - 40% of babies born at 24 weeks survive, most with profound disabilities. Viability means that there is a chance the baby will survive. 24 weeks is the very earliest that modern technology has the potential to save a baby. Just to clear that up.

Re: Umm dumb question...
IDK what it is either...
::hangs head in shame::
Psfhsfhsfh! Everybody knows what that is! :::looks around... and waits for someone else to answer:::
Viability Day = V Day
AKA 25 weeks
It's when the baby's chance of survival outside of the womb greatly increases, and most could survive if delivered after this point.
I didn't now either
Ahh....
I'm pretty sure it's another one of those nest abbreviations - someone around here had to have made it up!
LOL....too funny- I was thinking along the same lines.
