My BFF's newborn DD has an awful case of diaper rash and she's near tears. Regular diaper creams aren't working....

This sounds crazy but I read to place a teabag in their diaper. It has something to do with the urine and something in the teabag when mixed together. A co-worker of mine did it and said it worked within hours. ???? Anyway she said it turn her DD's bottom brown but washed off.

Co gave me this recipe:

diaper cream 

maalox/mylanta

corn starch

lotramin if yeasty or a hydocortosone (sp)...sounds similar to the one above, but uses cornstarch instead.
