bday party food

GE&H's post has sparked my mind....

So, for jake's 2nd bday party I'm planning on doing a Bug theme with dirt cake, gummy worms, finger foods--including ants on a log. Now, the Ants on a log that I know is celery, pb, and raisins or choc chips...is it a bad idea to serve pb at a 2yo's bday party?

FWIW-- Jake has had pb already, with no reaction...

I wouldn't do peanut butter if you don't know if any of the kids are allergic.  You could use cream cheese or some kind of cheese spread instead.

Use cream cheese in the celery instead of pb.

I've also heard of ants on a log with cream cheese.
