DD is currently behind the passenger seat because its easier for me to see her while I'm driving. I'd prefer to leave her there and put the baby behind driver. What is best?
I have the boys the same way. DS was behind the passenger and I wanted to leave him there. He and I talk so much when we're in the car, and I like being able to see him, turn around and hand him things, etc.
When DS2 gets a little bigger, I might reconsider, maybe if he needed more interaction from me. But for now, I think this is best for us.
I have the baby behind the drive and DS behind the passenger. DS has just always been on the passenger side so we didn't switch him when DD arrived. Now it is "his" side of the car!

That's how we have the girls. Plus it's easier to get DD#2 in and out on my side and I can see/reach DD#1 better. Whatever's easiest and what you're comfortable with. Part of our decision was actually as simple as this is what DD#1 is used to and we'd rather not change any more than we had to with how many changes she had to adjust to with DD#2's arrival.
Ours were the opposite. We currently only have one car, so we had put DD behind the drivers seat when we moved her to a convertible seat because generally we were all in the car together when DH wasn't working, so I could access her easily while he drove, so we just put DS behind my seat when he was born. Now those are their sides, and when I get my minivan in a couple months, they'll stay on the same sides.

We have our DD behind the passenger seat and the new baby will go behind the driver's seat. DD is actually still RF at 18.5 months so it doesn't matter which side she sits on.
HisBetterHalf, I had DD in May 07 and I LOVED being due in May. Such a great month to have a baby!
