QOTD:  Have you had any pregnacy brain moments recently or today?

 

I've had a lot, but I can't remember them (seriously)  Today I was going to a new house for a visit.  I had the directions all set.  I couldn't find them, so I had to go back to the office and get directions again.  I ended up being 20 minutes late, getting me home a half hour late.  When I got home I realized the original directions were in my pocket.  arrrggghh!!

My pregnancy brain was in full swing today when I walked into the mens restroom without even noticing...lol.

More than once I have gone to the fridge for a specific thing, forgotten it, gone back, grabbed something different, gone back, and literally just stopped; I've had to ask DH what I was doing. Pathetic. Oh yes. I put the entire gallon of milk in the microwave twice now. The first time I actually started the microwave. Oops!

Same problem for me...I know it happens a lot but I just can't remember them now!

 lazysusan...can you move me to June 7 due date; apparently I forgot how to keep track of my cycle too and I totally miscalculated my due date.  Had my first u/s today and got a new due date.  Thanks!

I'm on a bowling league and I had to pick up a friend tonight. I knew she had moved, she gave me directions. Now, she lives in the same town that I've grown up in and lived in my entire life, I just wasn't exactly sure of the street location. After driving up and down a street for almost ten minutes, pulling down every side street, I realize that I'm not even on the right road! Thankfully it's a small town and I only a block away, but man did I feel like a moron!

Nearly everyday this week I swear that I have forgotten my phone at home only to find it in my purse 5 minutes later.

I also got lost going somewhere new today because I read the directions wrong and was 30 mins late to a big meeting. Oops. Oh, and I showed up wot no business cards or notebook to take notes. total.space.cadet.

No specific moments, but I have been so unfocused and forgetful lately - I have ADD, and am off those meds right now but being pregnant has made it SO much worse.

 All the time.. I forget to do things, that I've done things. and things slip off my tongue really fast..I have to watch what I say..

I had a big one yesterday at work! People at work were laughing at me. So I work at a cardiac rehab and we had a new patient who I was showing to us the tredmill. Well, I was trying to get the speed up and it would not go, I finally asked one of my co workers why is this not speeding up, she said you are pushing the incline button. I did not even notice the tredmill going up. Oh well!

Oh yes, and it started even earlier this time. The only recent thing I can remember is I put the soap refill in the fridge. I feel so dumb sometimes.

I have them pretty often.  The most common pregnancy-brain mistake I make is to use a totally unrelated word instead of the correct word that I meant (usually starts with the same letter) in a sentence (you know, like your grandma does).  I had never done this before.  Just this morning, I asked DH if he wanted peanut butter & jewels on toast.  Seriously!

Yup yesterday I was talking to my boss about a certain file and forgot the name of it, I said "that, um, what's the name of that store, well you know, that file with all the problems - it's solved.  Oh and the other, um shoot, what's the name of that one? well it's fixed too".

 

Yeah lovely.
