My doctor had me go in yesterday for this since I had a very early m/c in October. I didn't get a chance to ask because 1. I was so tired from work I flat out forget 2. I didn't actually see my doctor 3. The person I did see was the incredibly insensitve nurse I had to deal with the day of my m/c.
I'm about to go google, but just wondered about your own experiences too.

Re: Anyone know what progesterone levels should be for day 21?
first of all, it should be a 7dpo test. Not necessarily CD21. Some don't O before CD21.
over 5 indicates O.

You can test at any point during you cycle for progesterone, especially if you just want to see if your body is producing it. ?
Thanks for the info! And I forgot to mention day 21 is 7 dpo for me as I ovulate every month on day 14 (I find it amusing how "textbook" I am).

The OP asked about CD 21 testing in case you missed that.
Staycee was absolutely correct in what she posted. CD 7 is much more accurate considering that some women may have barely ovulated by CD 21, and CD 21 progesterone testing is specificly for testing whether you O'd or not.

As much as I love you, my dear!
Ditto. "CD21 b/w" is only an accurate test if you O on CD14.
They should change it's "name" to 7DPO b/w. But since most people don't know when they O, they just pretend you have a perfect 28 day cycle and CD14 O.
and you know this because....
Whoa. Actually, I must have miss understood. I know what a CD progesterone test is. I honestly thought she was asking a generalized question. I've had blood taken on any random day just to see if my body was producing the hormone (not specifically looking for O) - that is what I was answering on. A CD 21 test is usually done on a 28 day cycle, and I ?have been told that it is done 3-5 days after O.... of course it all varies depending on cycle.
Apparently it's not my day on GP. ?
charting usually helps. ?
cool...didn't see a link in your siggy.
There is no link. Stopped last cycle. I'm going in for a possible partial hysterectomy next month, so I see no need to know wth my cycle is doing right now. Ya know?
Emmer... I just noticed your from O-town. FI and I just moved from there in Aug. I graduate from UCF on Monday. I miss the chilly weather... ?
Good grief, what's with the attitude?
For everyone else-my doct had me do the testing mainly to see what my progesterone levels are at this point. She knows I ovulate as I was pregnant a couple months ago, so that's not really an issue. However, I have had spotting and other issues during my LP, and with the early miscarriage, she just wanted to rule out a lack of progesterone.
