Enfamil Gentlease vs Parent's Choice brand of the same

We switched our DD from Neosure to Gentlease about a month ago because she was having a lot of stomach issues. It made all the difference in the world. She has been doing great on Gentlease and I want to keep her on it. They even sell a large can at Sam's Club. However every time we go to pick up a can my husband talks about getting the Sam's Club brand called Parent's Choice. He says it's the same thing and we're just paying more for the brand name. So has anyone tried the Parent Choice brand? I am wondering if it tastes the same and if she'll like it. I hate to switch her again because she is doing well, but I guess if it's the same formula it wouldn't be so bad to save some money. Any advice?

Re: Enfamil Gentlease vs Parent's Choice brand of the same

  • After my DD came off Enfamil Enfacare I switched her to Enfamil.  After a few months I started to look at trying to help control our costs and switched her to Parent's Choice brand.  I never had any issues with the switch.  When my son was born I put him on Parent's Choice from the get go.  The only difference I noticed (other than the cost) was that the Parent's Choice had to be mixed a little longer.  It wasn't ground as fine as the Enfamil.  I guess what I would recommend is getting a small can of the Parent's Choice and giving it a try.  Frankly you can buy 2 cans of that to the 1 of the Enfamil.  Formula is highly regulated and if you look at the ingredients they are one in the same.

  • We use the target brand and love it. My pedi said generics are just as good and to save myself the money. I agree, try a small can first...
