Hey. I saw your post from this morning about terbutaline. I am REALLY surprised they gave you a terb shot AND a prescription based on two contractions that did not dialate you at all and have since stopped. I went into preterm labor with Kate at 32 wks. I was having regular contractions (every 10 minutes or closer together) pretty much all day long. They started me on procardia, and when that didn't work I got the terb shot and pills.
FWIW, I had preterm labor contractions for 7 weeks, got the steriod shot to develop Kate's lungs at 34 wks because they thought she'd for sure be delivered prematurely. I was on bedrest from 32-37 wks. In the end, I went into labor on my own at 38 wks and delivered a 8 lb 1 oz perfectly healthy baby. She was 100% fine--no NICU time, nothing. Anything after 37 wks is considered full term, and even though I had constant contractins (the terb slowed them down, but did not totally stop them) I managed to make it to 38 wks.
Hang in there! I know it is scary, but it really sounds like your doc is just being overly cautious. HTH.
