Hi! I am Heather. My DS Daniel is 7 weeks old. DH (Honey not Hubby) and I had always planned on me being a SAHM when we had kids. Because this pregnancy was unplanned, we didn't know if we would be able to afford it right now.

Last week, I went back to work and only made it Monday and Tuesday before I lost it. I can't stand being away from DS or having someone else watch my baby boy (even if it is just DH's batshitcrazy mother). I cried all night Tuesday and most of the morning Wednesday and talked to my Dad, who is amazing with money and very practical. We figured out a more strict budget and things that DH and I could cut out of our spending. I also will still WAH on a very part time basis for the time being when DH is home in the evenings. DH is happy as long as I am happy and we are doing what is best for our family. While his family is not the most supportive, my family is extremely supportive and believe that it is important for me to be at home with DS. My mom was a SAHM and my dad worked very hard for very little pay to make that possible. I had an amazing childhood... although money was tight, I have so many great memories and wouldn't have changed a thing.

We are currently house hunting and I may start an in home day care once we are settled into a new house. The demand is really high in this area. My SIL  started doing in home day care earlier this year and has kids coming out of her ears.

Anyway, that is my story. I am in love with being a mama and I am so happy to be a SAHM (for most of the day at least). I am very happy to be here and talk with other SAHMs!! Thanks for reading!
