Pedi gave us the green light at the 4 month appt for rice cereal. So we started SP on 1 Tbsp twice a day with his bottles. He LOVED it.
Once we finished the rice (entire box took about a month) we moved on to the oatmeal, as instructed by our pedi. SP took it for two days and then clammed up completely.
I tried doing rice with him again, thinking he may not be ready for the oatmeal, but now he won't take that either.
I *think* he may be going through a growth spurt as well, because he's been chugging bottles before bed like he's getting in shape for his first kegger, and he's also been getting up at least once a night with a huge diaper as a result (not normal for him).
Could the growth spurt be a reason for not wanting the cereal anymore even though he loved it at first? We're still offering him the cereal once a day in case he decides he wants it again, but other than that, we're going to wait it out until his 6 month appt in January.
Any ideas? TIA!
Re: Cereal Question:
Ok, that is hysterical. ?Now I'm imagining Hadley cheering Spider Pig on while he chugs his bottle!
I don't know what to tell you about the cereal issue. ?We've been feeding Hadley solids for a little over a month now and most of the time it goes smoothly Some days she just doesn't have any interest and won't eat cereal or the fruit/veggie even though she's had them all before. ? My approach is not to force it and try again the next day. ?
