rubbing forehead, eyes, ears when concentrating?

When my almost 3 year old in coloring or reading or doing anything that involves concentration, he rubs his forehead or eyes or cheeks or ears with the back of his hand...almost like he is getting rid of an itch or flicking sweat off or something, but he isn't sweating. Is this normal or some strange tick I should bring up to his pediatrician? His teacher said she noticed it as well and said the other kids don't do it.

Any ideas?
